  • Indonesia Nickel Miners Association (APNI)

  • Celsius Resources

  • Hectronic

  • OLI

  • Compass Mining

  • Hersheng Pte Ltd

  • The Philippine Mining Club

Disclaimer: The exhibitor and sponsor list is updated by Spire Events on a rolling basis. Verify the current list directly at miningasiaconvention.com/sponsors-exhibitors before publication. Past editions of Mining Asia have attracted senior executives from across the mining, energy, and investment sectors — confirmed attendance figures for the 2026 edition will be published by Spire Events closer to the event date.

The One-Day Setup Window

Based on the official Mining Asia event portal, setup is scheduled for 22 June 2026 only — one day before the first conference session.

This single window shapes every display decision:

  • All display materials must arrive pre-tested and ready for immediate installation.

  • SCDF fire compliance certificates must be physically present at the booth before the MBS Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) team conducts its build-up inspection.

  • International exhibitors travelling from Australia, Indonesia, the Philippines, or Canada should arrive in Singapore no later than 21 June — no buffer exists if customs clearance or freight is delayed.

Disclaimer: Move-in slot assignments and specific build-up procedures will be detailed in the official exhibitor manual from Spire Events. Contact miningasiaconvention.com for the latest update.

Marina Bay Sands Logistics: VEP, Loading Bay, and Physical Access

Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP)

Every commercial vehicle entering the MBS loading complex requires a Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP), submitted through the MBS MICE Logistics online portal.

For the 22 June setup day — submit your VEP application by 15 June 2026.

The MBS Service Manual specifies that VEP applications must be submitted at least 7 days before the intended entry date. Required fields:

  • Company name

  • Person in charge

  • Event name: Mining Asia Conference & Exhibition 2026

  • Vehicle details: make, model, licence plate number

  • Exact intended entry date and time

The MBS MICE Logistics team reviews each application. Incomplete or late applications may be rejected — apply early to allow time for correction if needed.

Note: For some MBS events, organisers distribute pre-endorsed VEPs to exhibitors. Check the Mining Asia 2026 exhibitor manual from Spire Events to confirm whether individual applications are required for this event.

Loading Bay Cost Structure

MBS operates a cash-card gantry system at the Basement 4 MICE loading dock:

Period Cost (SGD)
First 45 minutes Free
Next 15 minutes S$8.56
Each subsequent 30-minute block S$10.70
Maximum per 24-hour period S$27.82

Source: MBS Sands Expo & Convention Centre Service Manual 2024

Display systems that can be fully assembled within the free 45-minute window deliver a direct, measurable financial advantage on setup day.

Physical Access Constraints

MBS enforces the following at the Basement 4 loading dock:

  • Vehicle height limit: Maximum 4.2 metres entering via Bayfront Link. Taller vehicles cannot access the loading complex.

  • Permitted vehicles: Commercial vans, lorries, and trucks. Private passenger vehicles are not permitted at the loading bay.

  • Internal routing:

    • Hall A freight elevator → Level 1 exhibition floor

    • Hall D freight elevator → Basement 2

    • Basement 4 freight elevators → Levels 3, 4, and meeting spaces

  • Speed limit: 15 km/h enforced throughout all MBS premises.

Forklift and Freight Forwarder

Based on MBS contractor site rules and exhibitor manuals for events held at the venue, only the organiser-appointed freight forwarder or MBS-approved contractors are permitted to operate forklifts and mechanical lifting equipment inside the exhibition halls. Foreign exhibitors must coordinate all mechanical lifting through the designated forwarder — not through their own overseas freight agents.

Disclaimer: Spire Events appoints the official freight forwarder per event. Contact miningasiaconvention.com for the confirmed forwarder for Mining Asia 2026.

Hand-Carry Alternative (No VEP Required)

Small consignments can be dropped at the Level 1 pedestrian entrance without a vehicle. Alternatively, send packages to the Mail & Package Centre at Basement 4, addressed with: Event Name (Mining Asia 2026), Booth Number, Contact Person.

Pull-up stands, brochure holders, A4 display frames, and poster frames typically qualify as hand-carry items. Commercial vehicles carrying larger structures require a VEP.

SCDF Fire Code 2023: Compliance Requirements at MBS

All exhibition materials at Marina Bay Sands operate under the Code of Practice for Fire Precautions in Buildings 2023 (Fire Code 2023), published by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF). Full document: scdf.gov.sg

Relevant Fire Code Clauses

Two clauses directly govern materials used in exhibition booth construction:

  • Clause 9.8.2c(1): Panels used in constructed compartments must achieve "at least Class B under EN 13501-1 or its equivalent."

  • Clause 9.7.2f(3)(b): Temporary structures of combustible material must comply with "Class 1 under BS 476 Part 7, or Class B or Class C under EN 13501-1."

Accepted Fire Testing Standards

Standard Applies To
EN 13501-1 Class B or C Structural panels, partition walls, flame spread classification
BS 476 Part 7 Class 1 Structural and display panels
NFPA 701 Decorative textiles, fabric backdrops, pop-up fabric displays
BS 5867 Part 2 Textile curtains, fabric banners, drapes

SCDF-Recognised Certification Bodies (CB)

Under the SCDF Product Listing Scheme (PLS), materials must carry a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) from a CB recognised by SCDF and accredited by the Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC).

Current recognised CBs include:

  • TÜV SÜD PSB Pte Ltd

  • Setsco Services Pte Ltd

  • Element Testing Services (S) Pte Ltd

  • UL International-Singapore Pte Ltd

  • Singapore Test Lab Pte Ltd

  • SGS Testing & Control Services Singapore

  • TUV Rheinland Singapore

  • Intertek Testing Services

The full and current list is maintained at the SCDF Regulated Fire Safety Products portal. Always verify your supplier's CB against this list before ordering.

What a Valid Certificate of Conformity Must Include

A CoC presented at MBS during build-up must include:

  • Name of the issuing CB (from SCDF-recognised list)

  • Exact material specification, substrate type, weight, and construction

  • Applicable test standard and classification achieved (e.g. "EN 13501-1 Class B")

  • Certificate validity date — must be currently active

  • Serial Label number or Declaration of Compliance reference where required

Keep one physical copy of each CoC inside each display shipment. Keep a digital backup on your phone. MBS WSH fire marshals may request documentation during build-up without prior notice.

High-Risk Materials at SCDF Inspection

SCDF does not publish a product-level list of materials that automatically fail inspection — compliance is determined by whether the specific material batch carries a valid CoC from a recognised CB.

The following material types carry significant risk of rejection when they have no fire rating or compliance documentation:

  • Standard (untreated) PVC vinyl — widely used in commercial banner printing, but will not meet EN 13501-1 or NFPA 701 standards without fire-retardant treatment.

  • Unrated polyester fabric — standard polyester without EN 13501-1 or NFPA 701 certification has no standing at MBS.

  • EPS foam board without fire rating — expanded polystyrene without certified fire-retardant treatment will not pass material checks.

Compliant alternatives:

  • Fire-retardant PVC vinyl — same print quality, manufactured with fire-retardant compound, certified to EN 13501-1 Class B or NFPA 701.

  • Fire-rated PVC foam board (PVC sintra) — lightweight, rigid, certified.

  • Aluminium composite panel (ACP) — inherently fire-resistant for premium signage applications.

If the MBS WSH team identifies non-compliant materials during build-up, they may instruct immediate removal before the hall opens to delegates. Sourcing and reprinting on the day will be at express rates.

Hazardous Materials: Geological Samples and Chemical Displays

Dry geological samples — rock cores and mineral specimens with no chemical treatment or reactive properties — are generally outside SCDF hazardous material restrictions.

If your booth includes any flammable or reactive substance (reagents, electrolytes, solvent-based materials), quantities displayed outside a certified hazardous storage cabinet must remain within the Maximum Allowable Quantity (MAQ) applicable to that substance under SCDF guidelines. Confirm permissible limits with the MBS WSH team directly before shipping any potentially hazardous material.

Display Strategy for a 6 sqm Mining Asia Booth

Standard Booth Footprint

The standard exhibitor package at Mining Asia 2026 is 6 sqm. Exact booth dimensions (2m × 3m or 3m × 2m) depend on floor plan allocation from Spire Events, issued closer to the event date.

Disclaimer: Booth configuration details and shell scheme inclusions are confirmed in the official exhibitor manual from Spire Events.

The Mining Asia Audience

Mining Asia draws investors, procurement officers, and industry representatives focused on critical minerals and commodities. Your display must communicate clearly across all three profiles simultaneously:

  • Institutional investors — evaluating mineral resource estimates, project stage, ESG credentials.

  • Technical procurement officers — assessing equipment specifications and processing technology.

  • Government-linked industry bodies — gathering supply chain and regulatory intelligence.

Three-Zone Booth Layout

Divide the 6 sqm footprint into three functional zones:

Zone 1 — Aisle Visibility (back wall)
Position your primary vertical display here. A pull-up stand or frame display stand claims sightlines from both aisle directions. Use one high-contrast headline, one typeface, one dominant graphic.

Zone 2 — Literature Station (front corner)
Use a portable brochure stand with multi-tier compartments. Separate investor packs, technical specifications, and company overview sheets — one tier per document type. An A4 brochure holder handles individual document display without sagging across two full event days.

Zone 3 — Conversation Area (centre)
Keep the centre of the booth fully clear at all times. Two to three people must be able to stand in conversation without obstructing the aisle. No display units in this zone.

Technical Poster Display

Most 6 sqm shell scheme configurations at MBS do not provide fixed exhibition walls for permanent print mounting. A poster printing frame on a free-standing base resolves this. An A0 or A1 technical poster — mineral resource estimate, processing flowchart, or feasibility timeline — stands independently within the booth, requires no wall attachment, and packs flat for transport.

Multi-Event Reuse

Many Mining Asia exhibitors also attend other Singapore events in June and July 2026. Modular display systems — brochure stands, poster frames, A4 holders — reconfigure across venues without reprinting. For the full Singapore June 2026 event calendar, see the Singapore Exhibition Calendar June 2026.

6 sqm across all exhibitor tiers. Exact layout depends on floor plan allocation from Spire Events. Booth pricing is POA (Price on Application) — contact Spire Events directly for the current rate card.

How do I apply for the MBS VEP?
Apply through the MBS MICE Logistics portal at least 7 days before intended entry. For the 22 June setup day, this means applying by 15 June 2026. Required: company name, PIC, event name, vehicle details, entry date and time. Apply early to allow time for corrections.

Does MBS require SCDF-certified fire retardant materials?
Yes. All display materials must comply with SCDF Fire Code 2023. Accepted standards include EN 13501-1 Class B or C, BS 476 Part 7 Class 1, and NFPA 701. Materials must carry a valid CoC from an SCDF-recognised CB. Standard untreated PVC vinyl, unrated polyester, and EPS foam without fire-rated treatment carry significant risk of rejection at inspection.

Who is the official freight forwarder for Mining Asia 2026?
Spire Events appoints the official freight forwarder per event — only the appointed forwarder or MBS-approved contractors may operate forklifts inside the hall. Contact miningasiaconvention.com for the confirmed appointment.

Can I hand-carry display materials into MBS?
Yes. Drop items at the Level 1 entrance or send via courier to the Mail & Package Centre at Basement 4: Event Name, Booth Number, Contact Person. Pull-up stands, brochure holders, A4 frames, and poster frames typically qualify. Commercial vehicles require a VEP.

Before the First Delegate Walks In

Every constraint at Marina Bay Sands — the VEP deadline, the 45-minute free window, the 4.2-metre dock height limit, the SCDF compliance check — favours exhibitors who prepare early over those who improvise on 22 June.

Start the display ordering process this week. Submit the VEP by 15 June. Test-assemble every unit before it leaves your office. Arrive on 22 June knowing exactly where each piece goes and how long each takes to deploy.
